The restaurant at Harrington Glen Estate opens June 2027. Seasonal menus built from what the estate and the Granite Belt produce. Wines from the cellar door, paired at the place they were made. A dining room unlike any in Queensland.
The Vision
Most fine dining restaurants talk about sourcing from local producers. The Harrington Glen restaurant will be something categorically different: a dining room where the food, the wine, and the setting are all from the same land.
Seasonal menus will be built around what the estate and its Granite Belt neighbours produce at their peak. The wines will be paired not as a sommelier's calculation but as the natural conclusion of eating in the place where they were made.
Designed around what is genuinely available and at its best — not a fixed menu with seasonal phrasing, but menus that actually change as the land does.
The garden, the vineyard, and the relationships with Granite Belt growers built over years of being part of the region — not a procurement exercise.
Harrington Glen first-label wines and the best of the region, paired by people who know exactly where each bottle came from and why.
A long table, an evening, no second sitting. The kind of dinner that makes the drive worth it before you've tasted the first course.
The Space
The estate will be transformed for the restaurant opening. The dining room is being designed for a specific experience: guests who arrive in the dark, sit long into the night, and leave with the particular feeling that they have been somewhere genuinely extraordinary.
At 1,000 metres elevation, on the New South Wales border, surrounded by granite outcrops and vineyard rows, the setting is already unlike anything in Queensland. The architecture of the dining room will not compete with this. It will use it.
Estate grounds setting
Dining within the working vineyard — not adjacent to it, in it.
1,000m altitude
Clear air, extraordinary night skies, temperatures that require warmth and reward it.
Intimate covers
A deliberately limited number of seats — never a room that feels like a restaurant.
No second sitting
One service per night. The evening belongs to the guests at the table.
The Road to Opening
